Sophie's Story...
Sohie is beautiful young female shepherd that we pulled with her sister Julie from the kill shelter in TN. She is sweet 18 month old very friendly dog who love attention and gets excited and grateful to any human who spend time with her.
Sophie is good with humans, dogs and cats. We would like her to be in a family who have prior experience with the breed as she will need training and exercise like any German Shepherd.
If you are interested in adopting Sophie please download the adoption application from our website www.helpingpawrescue.org

We do require fenced in yard for all our adoptions.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Memphis German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Memphis, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Memphis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Memphis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Memphis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Memphis paves the way for another one to be saved.
