Facts about Thelma

  • Breed: Conure
  • Color: Green
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: $200.00
This is Thelma. She is a Blue Crowned Conure and presumed to be female. No information was given on age at the time of surrender. The story of how she came to us is actually very sad. She belonged to an elderly individual who passed away in his apartment. When his body was discovered, they found Thelma in the apartment along with about 10 other birds flying loose. Some of the birds were so neglected, they did not make it, but she pulled through. Thelma will greet you every morning with "Good morning babe," and will make kissing noises. She can be very sweet but She is still not comfortable enough to be handled or step up. Conures are loud, therefore any potential adopter must know that and be ok with that. With a little bit of time and patience, she would make a wonderful companion.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Birdlink Sanctuary is not open to the public. Any and all visits are conducted on an appointment basis only.

Our Adoption Process...

All interested adopters must have an adoption application on file with us prior to visitation. We strive to find each bird the best possible home that will compliment their personality, and we do believe that the birds pick their new owners, therefore, we do require that potential adopters spend some time with the bird they are interested in. If you seem like a good match for one of the birds, You will be contacted to schedule an appointment to come out and meet the birds. Note that application does not guarantee adoption. Home visits as well as references are generally required to ensure that our birds will not be placed in breeder situations, with hoarders, or other unsuitable environments. We will however, make exceptions for the right home.
