Rico's Story...
Meet me this Saturday, November 18, between 1 and 5 pm at Petsmart in Yorba Linda. This is one VERY lucky little guy! Rico was rescued from the County Shelter of San Bernardino (Devore) known for having a high kill rate. He is lucky in that we went to the Shelter to rescue 2 Spaniels and he happened to be in the same kennel as the 2 we wanted to rescue. We could not leave him behind - it just didn't feel right, so we added him to the list! (:> He's a good little boy, well behaved inside and enjoys outdoors as well, but only with supervision as he's a tiny little guy at no more than maybe 7 pounds. To meet Rico, call Lydia at 714-241-9765,

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rico, a Santa Ana Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Santa Ana, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Santa Ana.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Ana already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Ana breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Ana paves the way for another one to be saved.
