Torrie's Story...
Hi, I'm Torrie, and I'm the sweetest dog there ever was, my foster mommy said so. If you are looking for the perfect dog, you've found her! I am about 45 pounds, with short little legs and a log for a body, and I am very soft and fluffy. I am very quiet and well behaved. I love having my head scratched and I will bump your hand with my head to get you to scratch it! I love having my floppy hound ears scratched too. I ask to go outside when I need to potty, because I am a polite little lady. I sleep quietly snuggled up in bed with my foster mommy all night, and stay quietly in my crate when my foster mommy has to leave. I am a very calm dog; I don't mind kids, cats, or other dogs being around, but I would rather watch them from my couch than play with them. Do you have a spot on your couch for me? I am up to date on all my shots, on flea and heartworm preventative, spayed, microchipped, and ready to find my FORever home! Why Adoption is a Great Option

Torrie, a Knoxville Basset Hound/English Setter dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/English Setter for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Basset Hound/English Setter dog from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/English Setter breeders who help with Basset Hound/English Setter rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
