Scarlet went through a period of not feeling so hot so there have not been too many updates while we allowed her to heal up ... we think the stress of whatever her life was before coupled with pound stay move to the foster home and all this heat was a little too much for this sweetheart .... and sweetheart she is!!! Through it all she remained a gorgeous and loving girl
Soon she will head back to vet for her much needed spay now that she is feeling good and solid so safe to sedate and we will start looking for her forever family - she is so wonderful that she especially needs the most awesome people to love her for always!
Scarlet is housetrained, but when left for longer periods of time she does have accidents. She is leash trained and loves her walks.
She does bark like dogs do but it's not excessive.... so ideally a home that is not an apartment with a lot of noise because when left alone she does not make a sound
She is not crate trained and there is no destruction when alone so we would have to say no separation anxiety at this time to note in foster care
While dog friendly she can be a grumpy girl at times with small issues of sharing her humans or her space but she gives a growl and when told no she backs off ... so we think she would be happiest in a home where she can be the only one being spoiled by her humans with play dates with other doggies because she is very friendly
& a home with no cats would be perfect; while she is living with cats and dogs in foster care she has had her moments when the "chase" has been a little too much fun!
To be more precise on how she is with cats : when they walk on the floor and around her, she doesn't do anything. it's when they are higher (tables, chairs...) she growls at them and runs after them when they get down. But she is getting so much better as foster family is working with her on the no more cat chasing :)
She is people friendly, she loves all!!!
We don't know how she is with small children, she did meet kids yesterday (about 10-12) and she was very happy! She runs to new people and jumps on them, so maybe no small children as she would make them fall... but it's trainable !
