Maltilda's Story...
Tillie is a beautiful, purebred Dachshund whose fur feels as soft as cotton! She is 5-6 years old and was rescued from a hoarding situation. Tillie can be shy at first but wants nothing other than love and companionship from those around her. She gets along well with dogs and everyone she meets. Tillie is crate trained, paper trained, and working hard with housebreaking. She is also
learning how to walk on a leash while in foster care. This sweet girl is spayed, current with vaccinations, and fostered in Hanover, PA.

We are PA Caring for K-9's is an all breed dog rescue. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $275 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $325 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. We are an all volunteer organization and we are always looking for more help. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maltilda, a New Oxford Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in New Oxford, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in New Oxford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Oxford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Oxford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Oxford paves the way for another one to be saved.
