My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MAXX is a 5 year old neutered Fox Red male Lab that weighs 70 pounds. He is a very happy and friendly boy. He’ll need some training as he learns to live as an inside dog. His previous owners said he gets excited when he sees other dogs but is fine with them. There’s no cat or kid history for him. Maxx is approved for kids ages 10+.

Update (10/29): Over the past week , Maxx has been learning new skills in his foster home! He has learned "down" and can now give his paw on request. He has been working hard at "stay" and now is staying for as long as 45 seconds before break! This handsome boy is so smart and eager to please. He is looking forward to continuing his learning and training in his forever home.

Update (10/26): Maxx is still loving life at his foster home, enjoying walks in the cool autumn air, and taking breaks laying in the crisp fallen leaves!

Update (10/13): Maxx is settling in very nicely in his foster home. He happily jumped in bed last night with his foster and curled right up. He enjoys playing with a stuffed bear toy he has and sleeping! He has a habit of picking up clothing items and carrying them around, he doesn't chew them, its actually rather endearing. He does not like the crate but once in settles down after a few minutes.

From transporters: Maxx was a little overwhelmed at first when switching vehicles, because he didn't know what was expected of him. But we got him loaded. Maxx is a beautiful fox-red boy!

Max was an owner surrender to PAWS. The owners are getting divorced, and the wife wanted him to have a better life. (Maxx lived outside on a chain since the owners got him as a puppy.)
Maxx has lived in the country and has had limited exposure to city noises, traffic, and groups of people.
