Sylvia's Story...
Meet Sylvia, a 2 Yr old female Heeler mix.

Sylvia was rescued from a local animal shelter to help ease their overcrowding. She had to spend time with her foster family while she recovered from an illness. Now she's ready to meet her new family.

Sylvia is a friendly, outgoing girl who loves being a house dog. She is good on a leash and has learned how to sit. She is very protective of her humans, and ignores the inside/outside cats.

Sylvia is looking for a home with a large securely fenced yard with plenty of room to play. She would love to be an inside dog hanging out with her family getting lots of love and attention.

Sylvia is heartworm negative, received her age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed and on flea and heartworm prevention.

Her adoption fee is only $75.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sylvia, a Weatherford Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Weatherford, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Weatherford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Weatherford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Weatherford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Weatherford paves the way for another one to be saved.
