My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Solomon! He is a gorgeous guy that has come a LONG way. He is precious and sweet and loving! He is great on a leash, fantastic with all other dogs, and great with cats! Here is some pertinent info about Solomon being adopted:
1. Solomon is about 13-14 months old and weighs 12lbs. We believe he is a purebred sheltie. With his age he is a full on puppy! He will require plenty of exercise :)
2. He needs a home with at least one other dog that has a higher energy level to play with him a lot. He loves all dogs and has great play energy!
3. He's a sheltie so he talks a lot, loves to herd, and sheds.
4. He is still working through some fear, especially in new surroundings and around new people. He will need an owner who is willing to work with him to overcome that issue. Exposure to new situations and training will be key in helping Sol become the best dog he can be.
5. He would not do well in a home with a dog door. Because of his fear he should never be left in the yard unattended for extended periods.
6. He will need a very secure fenced yard. He's quite small and could easily escape under a fence if he gets frightened. A privacy fence would work best to reduce barking.

Solomon has made an amazing journey that you can follow at http://www.facebook/com/solomonsafter . He is neutered,up to date on vaccines, hw negative, and microchipped :) If you'd like to learn more about adoption please email info@FORrescue.net or apply directly at http://www.FORrescue.net/dog-application . He is currently fostered in Huntsville, Alabama but not picky about where he ends up as long as he is loved.
