My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Found in Greeley, Colorado, 40 miles from where he was chipped in Hudson, Colorado, this beautiful boy is a lover and a keeper! After being nursed back to health, Buford now weighs, 99 lbs and is heartworm free. The original owner was tracked down and told the previous foster to “do with him what you’d like. I don’t want him.” That is when she opted to change his name from Sherman to Buford. When found he weighed only 70 lbs. We think he is 4 years old. He plays well with our other bloodhound, Boscoe, and our Bluetick, Maxine. We also have Schlick the cat. He doesn’t even acknowledge the cat, so no worries at this time with small animals. Being alone and on the run, he now likes to make sure his humans are in sight. He will hang by your side and has great recall for a bloodhound. Haven’t tried him off leash, though. No dietary concerns or health issues that we can see. We have a four foot split rail with chicken wire and he hasn’t been able to get out of the yard, so I don’t think he is a jumper! Fenced yard required. Fee $250
