Chica's Story...
Name: Chica
Breed: Chihuahua/Doxie mix
Age: Adult
Gender: Female

Chica the chihuahua/doxie mix is a goofy looking girl with her big bat ears who matches those looks with an even better personality. She is friendly, eager to please, loves other pets, fine with kids, and spends most of her time doing whatever her people are doing. Want to go for a walk, okay! Want to snuggle up on the couch, fine by her too! She is up for whatever. Chica does have a favorite past time...fetch! Yes, this little girl thinks she's a Lab and loves to retrieve and fetch. She is housetrained, crates well but doesn't need it, gets along well with other pets, and minds her manners beautifully in the house. She does her best to alert you to new happenings in the neighborhood--someone at the door, the mail carrier, but settles nicely as well. She would do best with a fenced yard or someone committed to leashing her outside since she likes to explore.

Requirements: Fenced yard

You can email kladams4545@gmail.com with questions and for a preadopt application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chica, a Minneapolis Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
