11/14/2015 Shay Loves Kids

Shay is healthy, athletic, and very sweet. She has a high drive and would be loads of fun for an obedience or agility enthusiast. She would be best suited for a home where she is the only pet. She loves children, but because of her energy, children should be older...10 years +

Please consider this great dog for your next family companion!

08/13/2015 Shay Is "Super Pretty, Smart, Honest, Nice, And Very Cool"

We responded to an email plea from a NY shelter for Shay, found as a stray on city streets. Shay is a young, active adult female. She was spayed and vaccinated just before transport to NH.

Like many dogs that live in the city, Shay walks politely on leash, she knows sit, down, and paw commands .... which is great for starters. Clearly she was someone’s pet in the recent past! She is as quiet as a mouse in the kennel...never makes a sound... again, probably an apartment dog.

The definition of "Shay" in the Urban Dictionary is: "Shay is the girl that everyone would kill to be. Super pretty, smart, honest, nice, and very cool. She's your basic over-achiever and one of the best friends you'll ever know." We think her name suits her.

Initial reports indicate she is very people friendly and sweet. High prey drive, no cats...other dogs to be determined as her health improves. She came out of the Shelter with a terrible case of kennel cough and she is taking antibiotics Please check back for updates!

Come Meet Our Pets...

All of the dogs in our rescue program are cared for by volunteers who open their homes to foster. These dogs are available to meet by appointment after you have been approved to adopt.

Our Adoption Process...

Please submit our on-line adoption application if you have an interest to adopt. You will be asked to provide personal and veterinary references as well as meeting with one of our volunteers at your home. It will also be necessary to sign an adoption contract and pay an adoption fee. Please be patient with our process as we are all volunteers and it takes time to make a suitable match.
