My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This good-looking boy is Taco, standard coated Xoloitzcuintle (or Xolo) who was very frightened when he was transferred to us from a shelter. Only 8 months old, this baby was quite thin and afraid of people – he didn’t even know how to run. He bonded quickly to his foster moms, and has been enjoying playing with his foster siblings very much. Taco is also friends with horses, the cats, and the goat, but he is still very shy when meeting new people. He’s put on a bit of weight, but is still on the thin side at approximately 22 kg. This gentle sweetheart needs an experienced, quiet and patient adult home. Taco needs time and a calm environment to learn how to be an important family member, and reassurance that it’s okay to love and be loved. He has been given a good start during the time he’s been in foster care, but now it’s time for his forever home to take over and continue their good work. Taco may take a bit of time before he is comfortable with new people and situations, but it will definitely be a rewarding experience for the right adopter. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body, and his beautiful eyes will make you melt. Please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website if you think you can offer the kind of home that Taco needs.
