Prancer's Story...
Prancer joined BC&CR from a rural high kill shelter along with his mom and siblings. Prancer is a shy boy who enjoys playing with his siblings. He is apprehensive of people at first but warms up quickly. He has been doing well with crate training and housetraining and has also been introduced to a collar and leash. Dancer is in a foster home with other dogs, cats, and children and does well with all. He would love to spend the holidays with a family of his own and will be ready for adoption the weekend of 12/6. Adoption fee of $300 includes age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and microchip. The adopter will be responsible for spay/neuter when the puppies are 6 months old.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Prancer, a Darlington Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Darlington, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Darlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Darlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Darlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Darlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
