My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little cutie boy is STONE, a beautiful Lab/Retriever mix Stone is 40lb, he is 8 months old, and he is a little gem for sure. He is as handsome as they come He is blessed with beautiful looks and a soft shiny black coat and dark brown soulful eyes. Stone is cute mischievous a real scamp but oh you just cant help but love this boy. STONE`S story starts here ) Stone was rescued at the last minute from a Georgia Kill shelter he literally had minutes to go before they euthanized him along with his mom a purebred golden retriever and another unrelated lab pup we rescued all 3. Stone was just 3 months old. We transported STONE to Florida and placed him in foster care. When Stone arrived he had demodex and has spent the last 9 weeks having treatment. Stones condition is now negative, During this time we have had so much fun with this little one he has us laughing all day long and sometimes a little frustrated with his antics, Stone is the ultimate pup he will bring you anything he can find and he will retrieve a ball all day long. He is a super loving boy and she has settled in well with all the others, he plays and romps with the big and small weims and chases the other pups in games of tag he joins in digging with the others plays hide and seek he has been having a wonderful fun time. On the flip side he is happy to snuggle up next to you and cuddle. He is very loving. He can hold his own with the big boys. The spray bottle does the trick you only have to show it him and away he scurries. He is intelligent and smart a fast learner sometimes too smart. He loves car rides and is always first to the door, We are not sure how big he will get but estimate a medium maybe 50 lbs. We are now looking for that wonderful forever home. A home that will give him, stability and security and active life he needs. He loves the dog parks and water, He is so lovable and he deserves that special family that will give him the love and attention he deserves. Stone will warm to you and just melt your heart. He loves to be around humans and will follow you around. He knows his name and he will come when called with a big smile on his face. When its feed time he will run to his feeding spot. Treat time he is a good boy he just sits there and waits. He dosent know too many commands he is just a fun loving little boy that is having a great time with the others, However he does understand the word no and down. whether he chooses to listen to you is another story and depends on what he is getting excited about.Stone is not crate trained he has never been in a crate we have never had to crate him he follows the example of the others and just lays down if we are gone a while, However it is wise to remember he is a pup so things need to be moved out of his way. A crate would be alien to him and more than likely bring on stress. We would prefer an owner that would not crate Stone. At night time he will sleep on a sofa or a bed however he just loves to sleep on your bed he loves to be close to you and likes to cuddle So if you dont like a dog on your furniture Stone is not for you, Stone is housebroken at our home he will go outside in the yard, however he is a pup and will have to get used to a new routine.Stone is neutered, current on all vaccinations, heart worm negative and he is micro.chipped. He is happiest being in a family environment and needs another dog to play with. We are looking to find Stone a wonderful forever home where he can have stability and security in his life. We are looking for a forever home that can cherish him and give him the love and attention he needs, A family that is really stable and can give him that forever home that means forever we dont ever want to see this boy back in a shelter. We are looking for an older family no toddlers or small children Stone needs a lot of attention and interaction. Stone will blossom he will go from awesome to super awesome with the right interaction. Someone that is at home most of the day would be perfect for Stone he dosent like to be apart from you for hours on end. Its wise to remember that Stone is still a pup and may chew if bored. A home with a fenced in yard pool lanai or acreage where he can run and play is ESSENTIAL. No Apartments or town homes Another dog is also Essential he has had lots of socialization with us and has always had other dogs around him. If you think that you have what it takes for this awesome little boy and can open your your heart and home, to make Stone`s life complete you will be rewarded with a wonderful , loyal faithful friend that will bring you endless hours of pleasure.
