Judy's Story...
Sweet Judy was found carrying her little baby, Liza down the road. Upon intake, it looked as though Liza had been attacked by another animal, missing skin, with puncture wounds and maggots. They were turned over to CPR for emergency medical care. Judy has been an amazing mom, taking good care of little Liza.
Judy is heartworm positive and will receive treatment after she is done nursing Liza.
Judy and Liza will be current on shots, microchipped and spayed prior to adoption.
Adoption fees are $40 per feline and $150 per canine unless otherwise specified. Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Judy, a Savannah Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Savannah, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Savannah.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Savannah already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Savannah breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Savannah paves the way for another one to be saved.
