Facts about CHINA

  • Breed: American Shorthair
  • Color: Tiger Striped
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
China is our #1 longest resident at our adoption center right now. After more than 2 years of waiting, this girl is no closer to finding a home and that just kills us. She has watched SO many cats come and go from our adoption center, never having a single adoption prospect herself.
So let's tell you about China!
First off, China is beautiful. Yes, she's a little portly, but her tiger stripes and big green eyes are stunning, so who cares about her figure? We're sure she'll shed some weight when she's scampering around your house, happy to be living the good life.
China is good with the other cats (any cat who can tolerate a bunch of different cats coming and going over the years is a saint in our book!) and is friendly with strangers. She will likely follow you around and give you quiet meows until you pay attention to her smile emoticon
China LOVES affection. She loves to be pet and to just hang out. She's easy-going and we see real couch-potato-buddy potential in her. Aren't you and your couch in need of a beautiful tabby cat to snuggle up with and watch TV with at night? China wants to be that cat.
A while back, China had some bladder stones, so it's in her best interest to eat a special type of canned food to keep her urinary tract healthy. Should a cat be homeless her whole life, just because of a dietary requirement? We think not!
Email if you're China's angel. Two years is a long enough's her turn! Please help us make it happen!
Located in Levittown, NY. China is spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for feline aids & leukemia, and dewormed.

About Forgotten Friends of Long Island

About Our Rescue Group...

We are Forgotten Friends of Long Island (FFLI) and we are driven to rescue the forgotten ones in our shelters or the ones abandoned and alone on the streets. Dogs and cats on euth that sit in the shelter being passed up just because they look ordinary or maybe have disabilities like blindess or fear. This rescue is not about the numbers, but focused more on the lost ones who deserve a chance at life.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Visit our website for all events and locations or please fan us on facebook - thank you!

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process consists of a completed application, a phone or in-person conversation and a home visit. It is of the utmost importance to us to make a match with the adopter(s) and the dog or cat. The goal is a forever home so this is why this match is so important :) It is our pleasure to provide continued assistance with all of our adopted pets and no adoption is final until a bond is formed between you and your new dog/cat. You are now part of the FFLI family and we are always here for our animals.
