Goldie & Petunia's Story...
United we stand, divided we fall. If there were truer a motto I couldn’t tell you. My sis and I have had quite a run together. Well loved, well cared for, well bonded. Only problem is, we don’t have a home to call our own any longer… things change, and we just have to roll with it. Now as long as we have each other we will be just fine! We are used to sharing our home with children and cats, and of course we get along well with other dogs. We are both crate trained and housebroken, and we love to snuggle up together. We also love to work as a team keeping our home and family safe. Sweet, sensitive, and loyal as can be... I can speak for my sister when I say, we want to share the love we have for each other with a loving family once again. 8 years old- 90lbs/62lbs. Our adoption fee is $180 and includes spay, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Goldie & Petunia, a Portland Australian Shepherd/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Golden Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
