Cilantro's Story...
Most people don’t know that Chihuahua is actually a state in northwestern Mexico. Now, the Chihuahua dog’s history is puzzling, and there are many theories surrounding the breed’s origin, but both folklore and archaeological finds show that it originated in Mexico. So I guess we are aptly named! I too am aptly named, so satisfying and full of flavor! I will quench your craving for love and companionship like no other. I will even share my feast of friendship with other dogs, cats and children. I am just a baby, so I will need a family dedicated to helping add all the ingredients necessary for a recipe of doggy perfection! Maybe you’d like to enjoy all the flavors of this little cutie? 16 weeks old-7lbs.-Chihuahua/Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier mix. My adoption fee is $280 and includes neuter/spay, microchip & registration, 1 month pet health insurance, reduced cost-training class, free vet exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cilantro, a Portland Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
