Liv's Story...
Liv is a sweet, shy girl looking for a responsible, permanent home. She will need a family who can help build her confidence through exposing her to new people and places. She was very scared when she first came in but has quickly warmed up to the staff and is affectionate with all she meets. Liv would do better in a quiet home with someone who will have lots of patience and treat her with gentleness. We are not sure how she would be with kids but she probably wouldn't handle a loud environment with too much going on. She does well with other mellow, laid back dogs like herself. Liv is working on being comfortable on a leash and is getting much better as we work with her and take her out. She will need to be signed up for positive based classes before she can go to a new home. She does not know any commands but has potential to learn so much with consistent training and lots of encouragement. If you would like to meet this lovely girl please fill out an adoption application at the front desk!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Liv, a Bellingham Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
