Meet Huck and Finn! These beautiful brothers trotted up to a local boarding facility, asking for a bed (and breakfast). They were not carrying any ID and a search for someone who was missing them came up empty. They were quite shy at first (no telling what Life on the streets had done to them) however they have blossomed into 2 fabulous boys! Still a bit nervous when experiencing something for the first time, but aren't a lot of us like that? They are about 2.5 years old, great car riders, good on leash and good house manners. Both boys are smart and food driven, as most Labs are, so they are easy to train. Huck loves chasing bugs BUT he goes after their shadows, so no bug ever gets hurt! They are good with dogs and people, however, they do not get along with cats. Huck and Finn have been through good, bad, and ugly together and are bonded to the point that they should be adopted together.

About Pooches & Purrs Cooperative - Harrisonburg, VA

About Our Rescue Group...

Pooches & Purrs Cooperative is a group of rescues and individual rescuers that are working hard to find loving homes for the dogs, cats, kittens and puppies that find their way into our care through no fault of their own. Each individual or group has several wonderful dogs In Tennessee, Alabama or Kentucky looking for homes! All of them are completely vetted and neutered/spayed (if age appropriate) and on heartworm protection. All of them come with complete medical records. Their adoption fee of $500 covers their complete age appropriate vetting and heartworm preventative as well as their transportation to your area.
Our rescues don't have an actual shelter building in the New England area. Due to this it is not always possible to meet them prior to their adoption. At times, a dog may be in foster care in New England and their bio will clearly be marked as such so you will know. These southern dogs & cats are brought up to their new owners weekly! We have a 14 day money back guarantee and the pet can be rehomed appropriately if things don't work out. Each group tries hard to get good matches in your homes so that everyone has a happy life together! To date the cooperative has placed over a two thousand dogs and puppies, cats and kittens in loving New England homes! Each group has many, many, references of happy adopters up in your area that can fill you in on their experience. Just email and they can pass along that information for your convenience. Thanks!
