My story

Do you like to go for walks and check out new parks and trails and want a best friend to do it all with? Then Sophie is the girl for you. She loves exploring new places or just rechecking her old ones. She is always ready for a new adventure and of course she loves riding in the car to get to get there too. Don't let her age scare you -- lots of Italian greyhounds live to be 17 years old!

Sophie is a very happy girl with lots of personality. She is fine with other dogs but is not all that interested in playing with them. She would rather hang out with her people.

In the winter she will use pee pads instead of going out when the temperatures are really cold. Her feet will freeze up making it impossible for her to walk. She also will use the pads if her foster mom is gone for a time.

Oh and if you like to go on REALLY long walks she will ride in a stroller too!

Our adoption process includes an application, personal and vet reference checks, and a home visit. We do not ship dogs under any circumstances.
We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check our front page for the dates of our next Pet Parade. Appointments outside of Pet Parade to visit our dogs are only available after an application has been filled out, and processing has begun.
