My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Breed: Chihuahua
DOB: 2007
Sex: Spayed Female
Weight: 7 pounds

Josie is a very quiet and sweet little girl that just LOVES to be held. She would make a great dog for someone living in an apartment or condo. The only time she may do any barking is if you're not getting her food to her fast enough.
She is leash trained and likes going for short walks (and long walks if you are holding her.) As a matter of fact you can walk, or read, or watch TV for hours and she is completely happy as long as she is cuddled with you.

Josie is okay with other dogs of all sizes but doesn't really interact with them. She lives with dogs now but could easily be an only dog.

She is crate trained but her foster mom usually just puts down a pee pad when she goes away and leaves Josie out of the crate.

Josie recently went to the Vet for a check up and the Doctor noticed she has a heart murmur. She has no symptoms and it doesn't seem to affect her. Many small dogs live normal life spans after being diagnosed as there are inexpensive medications they can be given that help the heart compensate.

And just in case you missed this part: she LOVES to be held.

Our application can be found online at here.

Our adoption fee for dogs that are not seniors is $220. All dogs are spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccines and heartworm.
Our adoption process includes an application, personal and vet reference checks, and a home visit. We do not ship dogs under any circumstances.
We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check our front page for the dates of our next Pet Parade. Appointments outside of Pet Parade to visit our dogs are only available after an application has been filled out, and processing has begun.
Please be kind to our volunteers. E-mail inquiries will be answered much faster than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.
