My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Myrtle and I am only 8 months old. I was running in my yard one day and got my leg caught in a fence. It broke. My owners took me to the vet who put a cast on my broken leg but they took it off after only a week and never took me back for follow up treatment. It broke again when I grew some more. One day I got out of my yard and I ended up at the pound. The good folks there called DLRR to come and help me. DLRR got me out of jail but my owners decided they wanted me back. Fortunately, DLRR fought for me and my owners agreed to surrender me. DLRR took me to an orthopedic specialist. My leg bone had fused together and was strong and stable. The wise Dr. decided it was best to leave my leg the way it is. My leg will be a bit shorter and I will have a limp. I get to take walks but I have to be mindful of my leg as it continues to mend and I build endurance. I am learning to walk on a leash but I like to pull and my foster mom says I am super STRONG. I am crate trained but I do like to complain about it and I am mostly house broken. My foster mom does not have a doggie door but I am pretty smart and I think I can figure it out. I have two foster cats who I like to look at and 4 foster dogs that I love to play with. I wag my tail and love to give kisses. I am sweet like Godiva Chocolate.
