Dixie's Story...
Dixie is a 3 year old female Chocolate Lab/Pit mix that weighs about 70 pounds. Dixie is very energetic and playful, loves other dogs and people, and will need a secure yard with a tall fence for exercise, preferably with another doggie playmate. She is up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, heartworm free, and on monthly heartworm prevention. She adores human touch! If your family is looking for a sweet, active Lab mix, then come meet sweet Dixie!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a Cross Roads Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Cross Roads, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Cross Roads.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cross Roads already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cross Roads breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cross Roads paves the way for another one to be saved.
