Major's Story...
Hello, we are Major and Minor, a couple of little 9 week old Labrador Retriever mix songwriting brothers in search of a family. Here is one of our new tunes: What would think if I sang out of tune? Would you stand up and walk out on me? Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song, And I'll try not to sing out of key. Would you believe in a love at first sight? Yes I'm certain that it happens all the time. What do you see when you turn out the light? I can't tell you, but I know it's mine. Do you need anybody? I need someone to love. I want somebody to love...... Sound good? My adoption fee is $250 and includes; current shots, reduced cost neuter and $25 neuter rebate, 5 week training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam (in Portland/Milwaukie area), leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Major, a Portland Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
