Shadow's Story...
If you are looking for a sweet little kitten, then look no further. I'm your girl! When my foster mom went to the shelter to pick out a few new kittens, I reached out of my cage, and touched her arm. She was hooked! I had an injured front leg when I was first pulled from the shelter, but it's all better now. I still limp a little bit, but my doctor says that I am just fine. I absolutely love to purr. The minute someone touches me, I start my engine, and purr up a storm. I also love to play with other kittens, and I don't mind dogs at all. There are five dogs, and five kittens in my foster home, and we all get along just fine. Do you have room for me in your family?
Shadow is spayed, felv/fiv negative, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. She is fostered in Huntsville Alabama' but is not fussy about where she ends up. If you are interested in adopting Shadow, please email, or better yet, fill out our adoption application at It doesn't bind you to anything, it's just a good starting point.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow, a Marietta Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
