Jax's Story...
I love people and life in general. They say I am a big love bug with a fantastic smile! When I look at you with my big eyes you will not be able to resist my charm. It works for me every time! My favorite past-time is getting my head rubbed. I am a very calm guy and I’m completely house trained. I would be best as an only dog as other dogs can make me anxious. If my foster mom would let me on the couch I could be a “couch potato” I am so laid back. So if you want a guy to hang out with who will give you plenty of affection in return for petting, come see me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jax, a Houston Retriever (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Retriever (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Houston, or seeking a Retriever (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Retriever (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Retriever (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
