Millie's Story...
Millie is a 3 year old spayed red female Bloodhound. She is current on shots, heartworm negative and on prevention. Her foster mom describes her as a very sweet dog, but a bit on the timid side. She does well on a leash and responds instantly to correction. She will need someone who has a gentle tone, harsh treatment will only enhance her shy nature. Millie likes to be with people as well as play with other dogs. She is not a mischief maker, is non destructive and will make a lovely indoor companion. Please visit for adoption requirements and application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Millie, a Carrollton Bloodhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bloodhound for sale in Carrollton, or seeking a Bloodhound dog from a breeder in Carrollton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carrollton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carrollton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bloodhound breeders who help with Bloodhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carrollton paves the way for another one to be saved.
