Cherish is more than a name…it is a description that we want for her future; to be cherished, which she never has been during these first 10 months of her life. Cherish was brought in to a small town, high kill shelter that only has two kennels and more than 25 dogs thrown in either one to fend for themselves. A wonderful rescue lady saw the family bringing Cherish in and vowed to come back and get her out. Critter Cavalry Rescue made a pledge to her future and her life, to insure that she gets the right GSD savvy home and the love and commitment to teach her how to be the smart and loving girl that she was bred to be. Cherish is underweight and when first brought out of the shelter she ate like there would never be another meal. We are recommending a careful feeding process for her so that she doesn’t feel any competition. She does the typical puppy things like jumping up on you for attention and acting like a fool when you first come home from work. She is wonderful with other dogs and is having fun with many foster friends but she still prefers to have her special people that can surround her with confidence and guidance. We want a home with a fenced yard; physical or electric is fine. We want someone who will take her in for training and give her a great home to be the best she can be. We are looking for experienced German Shepherd people to adopt this girl. She is being crate trained and is pretty much housetrained.
