Sophia's Story...
ON TRIAL / EN PÉRIODE D'ESSAI
Hi Sophia here. Remember me ... I'm the dog that was thrown from an overpass in Montreal last June. I was quite the celebrity; made the news and I was even on television. I had to have surgery on my leg and spent many weeks at the Vet's. I was really shook up. Back then I was one frightened and scared girl, now, who wouldn't be after being thrown from an overpass! I was adopted when I was released from hospital. Only thing is my real personality came out as time went on ... hey, I'm a terror .... oops, I mean terrier! I was just too much dog for the person who adopted me. So, now I'm back at the Centre (aka Boot Camp) and to tell you the truth I'm liking it. We terriers are smart and need direction and rules. I'm quick to sound the alarm (bark) at every new sight and sound but Helen (aka The Boss) is equally quick to stop me! I'm a typical terrier ... lively, feisty, persistent, and of course a little stubborn. Best of all though, I'm smart and I learn quickly. I'd love to go to obedience classes with you. I'll need lots of brushing so that I don't become a matted mess -- this "au naturel" look takes a little work, you know! I need lots of exercise and I'm a busy girl and need to do interesting things so I don't become bored. I am fully recovered from my surgery; my leg is a bit stiff but hey, that's a small price to pay for being thrown off an overpass. I'm lucky that I'm still here and I know that I have lots of love to give the lucky family who adopts me. So don't dilly-dally, fill in the Adoption Form and remember, S-O-P-H-I-A.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophia, a Ile-Perrot Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Ile-Perrot, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Ile-Perrot.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ile-Perrot already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ile-Perrot breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ile-Perrot paves the way for another one to be saved.
