Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rocky is the most perfect dog ever! This sweet and gentle 7 year old cocker spaniel/poodle mix came from a hoarding situation and was surrendered to a local animal control agency. He arrived with large tumors on his hind end and was scheduled for euthanasia because animal control did not feel confident about the tumor removal. Fortunately for sweet Rocky, animal control reconsidered his euthanasia and contacted St. Martin’s to see if we could help. Yes! With the help of Dr. Brooks and The Last Chance Club, Rocky underwent a successful tumor removal surgery in which six tumors were removed from his bum. He also had a teeth cleaning, a neuter surgery and a tumor removed from his eyelid at the same time. Despite all of this surgery, Rocky never waivered on being a sweet, well mannered and gentle dog. He is housetrained and playful. He is great with other dogs and cats. We have not seen him around children, but based on his behavior around everything and everyone else, we think it is safe to say he would be good with respectful children too. He is about 30lbs with a lean body and long legs. He has pretty chocolate colored hair which will require regular grooming. Rocky has been given a second chance at life and we are so happy because he will make the perfect companion for any family. He is current on all vaccinations, is microchipped and neutered. He rides very well in a car, but could use some leash training if his adoptive family wishes to take him for walks. He knows his name and comes when called. Rocky’s adoption donation is $200.00.
