My name is Amber and I was found as a stray, trying my best to survive on mice, insects, and garbage. Even though I was less than a year old when rescued, I was leery of people since they seemed to want to chase me away. I now know that people can be nice and loving, but it still takes me a bit to feel comfortable. Once I know you can be trusted, I will quietly rub against your legs and ask to get my head scratched and my back stroked. People say that I have unusual markings, with my mix of orange and gray tabby swirls, with white accents. Personally, I think my golden-green eyes are my best feature. I have lived in a foster home for some time, which has helped me socialize to a home environment. I also get along very well with other cats and dogs. I am looking for a quiet home in which a can feel safe. Although it may take some time to see my affectionate side, I am looking for a patient family that will give me a chance. Are you willing to do that for me? I really do want to have a family that will provide a loving forever home for me.
