Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I'm Coco. I am a petite little chocolate beagle. I had a really bad life before Midwest BREW rescued me. I lived outside in kennels all my life with a bunch of other beagles owned by a back yard breeder. Because of this I was very afraid of people and have had a hard time learning to trust them. I have come a long way since I got here. I'm still pretty skittish and get startled at sudden movements or loud noises. But in time and with lots of love I’m sure I will get more relaxed with it.
I get along with the other dogs here and. I really like playing with the one big dog here. Foster mom gets nervous when we play because he is at least 3 times my size, but I can handle him. I love playing with tennis balls andcan entertain myself with them and other toys when the older dogs get tired out. Sometimes I get so excited that I just start running laps around the yard.
I am really starting to enjoy hanging out with foster mom and getting lots of love and kisses. I follow her everywhere she goes. In the evenings I enjoy sitting on the couch and cuddling up with her and the other dogs. Although sometimes I like to have a little alone time and will lay down on another chair away from everyone else. At night I sleep in the bed with everyone else. I snuggle right next to foster mom all night because I feel very secure there and I stay there all night. In the morning I wake her up by climbing all over her and giving her kisses! I hear I give the best kisses ever.
I'm doing really well at house training but I’m not good at letting foster mom know when I need to go out so she makes sure she takes me out a lot.
Since I lived my whole life in crates I get really anxious if I'm put in one so no crates for me please. I've been so good that I get run of the house now when nobody is home and I haven't caused any trouble. I mostly like to hang out in the window and watch the goings on outside. Some of the neighbors really get a kick out of seeing me in there. I guess they don't know that windowsills are not just for cats.
Because of how insecure I am I would really like to have another dog in my forever home to help me feel more confident. Plus it would be nice to have another dog to play with. I wouldn't do well with little kids because of how skittish I am and would do better in a quieter home with someone who can be patient with me while I get over my fears. I promise I will be worth the wait. Once I come out of my shell you will see what a sweet and playful girl I am.
I could go on and on about how wonderful I am, like how cute I am (did you see my pictures?) and how sweet and happy I am and how soft my fur is and how playful I am and the great kisses I give, and...oh sorry I got carried away. So please contact MidWest BREW if you think I could be the girl for you. Foster mom would love to tell you more about me.
