Brutus's Story...
Brutus is a handsome 1 year old Pomeranian/Silky Terrier cross. He was brought in when his owners could no longer care for him. Brutus takes a few minutes to warm up to new people, but once you are his friend you have a friend for life. Brutus is a silly playful boy that loves to chase balls and cuddle. If you stop petting him he will gently nudge your hand to remind you he's still there. He is housebroken but like most small dogs needs to go outside more often then larger breed dogs. He is currently being fostered by an employee who has several dogs,Brutus has befriended all of them and would enjoy another canine in the home. Brutus has not lived with cats but seems to respect them here at the shelter. He has lived with small children but due to his shyness we are suggesting older more mellow kids (10 and up). Brutus is a great dog and some lucky person/people will get an incredible snugglebug.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brutus, a Springfield Pomeranian/Silky Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian/Silky Terrier for sale in Springfield, or seeking a Pomeranian/Silky Terrier dog from a breeder in Springfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Springfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Springfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian/Silky Terrier breeders who help with Pomeranian/Silky Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Springfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
