Bentley's Story...
This is Bentley. He's a 2 y/o American Staffordshire Terrier mix and weighs about 70 lbs. He loves to go on hikes, runs, chase balls and laser pointers, and wrestle. He is potty trained and likes to talk to you when he wants to go out or when he's hungry. As much as he likes to exercise and play, he's equally content snuggling on the couch and getting belly rubs. He's not food aggressive at all. He has shown ball aggression in the past, and likes to eat tennis balls...so he's not allowed to play with tennis balls anymore. If you're looking for an energetic companion who also loves to sleep in, this is your guy. He hasn't had much exposure to children. He also likes to jump up on strangers, it's something we're working on. He does well with other dogs his own size.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bentley, a Cerritos American Staffordshire Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Cerritos, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier puppy from a breeder in Cerritos.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cerritos already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cerritos breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cerritos paves the way for another one to be saved.
