Cute!!! Barney is a 5-6 mo old approx 27 lb sweetheart. He melts in your arms when you hold him(getting too big for this),so better hurry! He loves playing in the yard with all his 4 legged pals, toys, lots of fetch, and any attention you can give him.He is quiet in the house, crate trained, and housebroken. He is totally vetted including micro-chip and will be here waiting for you. Poor Barney has been passed by again and again due to his shyness at meeting new people. Hopefully someone will look past this, and know that given a bit of time to adjust,he is a big happy go lucky goofball. If you would like to meet Barney ,please call Karen at 630 851-9354 or email at bser321@aol.com. His adoption fee is only $175. We consider Barney "special needs" due to his shyness, he is physically very healthy!)

About Eye on the Sparrow

About Our Rescue Group...

All of our pets are in foster homes, from Sheridan to North Aurora, IL. We take in many special needs dogs, some physically, mentally or behaviorally challenged. Some of them have been abused or neglected, many are seniors, most just need some understanding and patience. A lot of them have never heard a vacuum before or even felt a kind pat on their heads. Fostering them prepares them for the life they so richly deserve when a kind person adopts from us. When you adopt a shelter dog, you are making a giant step in reducing euthanasia for all these great dogs looking for a home. It is not their fault, it is the fault of the human that previously was involved in their life. Thanks for checking out our website, maybe you will find the pal of your dreams.

Our Adoption Process...

We have an online application on our website, sparrowdogs.com. Requirements vary as per the individual dog's needs as far as time alone, children, other pets, fenced yard vs. leash walking and such. Our adoption donations can range from $99 for less adoptable/older dogs, and higher for puppies and other highly sought after dogs(which helps us take in needy often medically challenged dogs and cats.)
Our contract states we have the right to visit the dog, check up periodically as well as take the dog back if necessary. We get first right to the dog if adopter chooses not to keep him. We want all adopters to realize this is a serious commitment and want our dogs to go to safe, loving homes.
