Alexis's Story...
Good day everyone, allow me to introduce myself. I am Alexie, a beautiful, elegant, lady of 10-11 years old. I am 78 pounds, fully vetted, micro-chipped, healthy and ready for my new home. I am a little bewildered to be in this predicament again. You see, my original owners passed away last year and I went to live with another family. Now that family can no longer take care of me. I am really calm and do my best to be no trouble at all. I like adults, children, dogs and cats. I don’t do well with stairs, I’m afraid. I have been told I am a sweet soul and I am happiest when I am lying beside you with my head in your lap. If you are looking for a loving and faithful companion, I hope you will step forward and agree to be my forever family. Please just let my friends at AGB know you want to meet me, Alexie. I appreciate your kindness ever so much. Please visit me at or call

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alexis, a BIRMINGHAM Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in BIRMINGHAM, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in BIRMINGHAM.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in BIRMINGHAM already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a BIRMINGHAM breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in BIRMINGHAM paves the way for another one to be saved.
