Norman's Story...
Hi. I'm Norman, a 3 month old lab mix. I came here from Kentucky with my 4 siblings. What we are mixed with is anybody's guess. Our foster mom said we are the result of people not having their dogs spayed and neutered. Even though we are extremely cute, nobody wanted us, so we were dumped at animal control where we could have been put to sleep because of overcrowding. Lucky for us, Chicagoland Dog Rescue took us in to find us homes. We are pretty typical puppies. We like to play, eat, cuddle and sleep. We have a lot of things to learn to become good family members. Chicagoland Dog rescue provides free training classes to help us learn those things.

If you are looking for a great puppy, come visit us Saturday at Petco, 60 E. Golf Rd., Schaumburg, from 10:30-2:30. Our foster mom says puppies are a lot of work, so be sure you have the time and energy for one. I don't know what she means by that. What could be easier to have than a cute puppy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Norman, a Schaumburg Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Schaumburg, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Schaumburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Schaumburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Schaumburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Schaumburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
