Updated Bio 9/14/15 Hi, my name is Ruby and as you can see I'm the cutest little girl. I am as sweet as can be. I’m an 8-year-old, 7.5-pound sweetheart. I am being fostered in Bunnell, FL.
My Foster Mom always tells me how perfect and beautiful I am. I like it here but would love to find my furever home.
I get along with everyone even kids and other small dogs. I like to go for walks and car rides, I have a cute little bag I jump into when I know it's time to go for a ride, Foster Mom zips up the top and away we go, everyone thinks it's so cute when I do that, and it is cute, because I am cute, and being in there makes me very happy.
I have a trick to get a treat. I will sit and do a spin for my treat. My treats are really my dry food. Foster Mom thinks I don't know that, so don’t tell her, but it’s okay, I like them just fine.
I am potty trained and will bark at Foster Mom or sit by the door so Foster Mom knows it’s time to take me out. I sleep in my crate at night, that's how it's been since I was a pup. Otherwise I want to sit on someone's lap or lie next to them, I like be close to my people as much as possible.
I do take medicine for IBS, but it is under control with the medicine and I will live a long, healthy life. I am the youngest 8 year old you will ever know. I have lots of energy and lots and lots of happy years left.
If you decide to take me home with you I will give you heaps of love and kisses. I will be your best pup friend ever and I know you will be so happy if you make me your forever baby.
Initial Bio 8/18/15Meet Ruby! She is a beautiful 8 year old 7.5 lb Yorkie girl being fostered in Bunnell FL.
Ruby came to us from a wonderful military family who had Ruby's best interest's in mind. Ruby has stable IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) that is well managed but after many moves and overseas deployments Ruby's family realized that this was creating stress for Ruby and they made the loving decision to reach out to UYR to help find Ruby and great FOREVER home where she can have the consistent stable life she needs to stay healthy. Ruby eats prescription food and takes two medications (Prednisone and Metronidazole) to control her IBS. The average monthly cost for her medications is about $30-$35 per month. Ruby will need to be on these for the rest of her life. Ruby is very sweet and loving and gets along with other animals. She has just landed in her foster home so stay tuned for updates as we get to know her better!
