Lovely, polite, quiet, SUPER HAPPY, snuggly sweet girl

They really, truly don't come more perfect than Shanti!!!

She was found dumped out in the country almost completely bald from mange.

She has been treated naturally and has healed beautifully. She is incredibly gorgeous..inside and out.

Shanti is about two years old.  Bless her heart. She has been with us for 325 days as of 5.11.2016. She's crate trained and perfect on a leash!!

You can watch her Pet of the Week spot here http://www.fox7austin.com/good-day/138168920-story

She's also very special because she was part of a behind the scene facebook special on Fox News. You can watch that here on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/FOX7austin/videos/1161222443919232/

She's VERY calm and loving.  She's also perfect with other dogs. Shanti is young enough to play like a puppy but old enough to know when to just relax and entertain herself quietly.

She's nothing but love and gratitude.

Shanti is also one of the HAPPIEST DOGS we have EVER known!!! She is happy even when she has to go back in her room..she just runs back in with the biggest smile and waggliest tail!!!! ♥

About I Once Was Lost Animal Advocacy

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small (3 people) rescue. Our main purpose is animal advocacy. We teach pet owners about the importance of spay/neuter and proper care and love of dogs & cats. We also feed, spay/neuter community cats to help keep down the feral cat population. We are active in our community and help to get dogs off of chains and into homes where they belong. We find our rescue dogs on roadsides. Some we are able to find their homes, they were just lost. However, most were dumped and need medical & emotional care as well as spay/neuter. We take the utmost care of our rescues. Therefore, we are ALWAYS in need of donations so we can continue to stop and save these precious lives. In the past year, we have rescued and placed over 30 dogs into beautiful, loving homes.

Come Meet Our Pets...

If you see a pet listed who you would like to meet, simply fill out our online adoption application. Once approved, we can set up an appointment to meet. This is also a good time to bring other family dogs to meet their new potential best friend.

Our Adoption Process...

$150 adoption fee. Our online contract is on our website. We require references as well as a home check. We also require a meeting with existing pets in the household. We also do follow up checks to ensure the safety and happiness of our adoptees.
