My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATE (8.20.15) - Gordon is nearly finished with his heart-worm treatment. He’ll be available for adoption very soon!

Hi, my name is Gordon!

I prefer to be called Gordy though. It's cuter...like me!! I am a little love bug.

I'm a mixed breed, Great Dane and something else, but we're not sure what. So my foster mommy says I'm half Great Dane, half cartoon character. She says I have googly eyes!

I am 3.5 yrs old and very well behaved. The only bad habit I have is my addition to a loaf of bread. Yep! A loaf of bread! My foster mommy guesses that I know how to climb, because I can get it from the top shelf. Of course, I'm not going to reveal my secret! That's the only food I steal though. Everything else is safe in your pantry.

I also have separation anxiety, it's pretty bad. I don't like crates, so I'll have to be a free-range dog. I promise I won't tear up your stuff if you promise not to leave me alone for very long.

I hope you like to walk, because I sure do!  It's my favorite!  But just so you know, I realllly don't like grass, especially wet grass, like when the dew is on it in the morning. Eww! So you'll have to walk me out there on a leash to go potty. Letting me out the back door and expect me to automatically go potty on the grass will not work. Nope, not gonna go....but if you're out doing yard work I will follow you around. I don't always need a leash, I'll stay pretty close to you, just give me some time to get to know you and my new house first.

I'm not much for playing, if you want an adorable little buddy to take camping or to lay with you and watch movies or snuggle with, then I'm your guy. Fetch and stuff, not so much.

Since I don’t have a tail, I wag my whole body! Strangers LOVE me and I love them back. I have made my foster momma a LOT of new friends, all because I am very social and wags my whole body!

I love my foster mommy a lot! She takes really good care of me and knows everything I need so that I don't get too nervous. I hope you'll take the time to figure out all of my little quirks and forgive me if I mess up. I've lived in so many different homes and shelters and I really want someone to love me forever. I don't ever want to move again.
