Since we do not have a physical location our pets are in foster homes, some as far as 2 hours from Princeton, where we are based and do our adoptions, we require an approved adoption application in order to meet a pet. This will also allow immediate possession of a pet if, at the meeting, it's decided the pet is a match. Submitting an application does not obligate one to adopt but a meeting will only be arranged for serious applicants.
To get an adoption application visit our website, www.swval.org and download one or email us and request an application. In order to adopt or qualify to meet a pet, fill out the adoption application and return it to us. One the application has been approved we will contact you to make further arrangements.

You'll receive a copy, too, at to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures, on the pet's details page on Adopt-a-Pet.com.
