My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

10/2/15: PEPPER HAS BEEN ADOPTED! 9/2/15: PEPPER VISITED THE VET TODAY AND SHE SAID THAT HE HAS A LARGE HEART MURMUR, EYE DISCHARGE/CATARACTS AND HAS BAD TEETH-COULD USE A DENTAL. HE IS AN OLD BOY AND JUST NEEDS TO FIND A HOME WHERE HE CAN LIVE OUT HIS GOLDEN YEARS IN COMFORT. HE WAS NOT GIVEN ANY MEDICATION AT THIS TIME.Pepper weighed in at a whopping 5.2 pounds! Pepper is a 12-13 year old purebred pomeranian (his coat was shaved by his owner and is now growing back in) who was surrendered by his owner after the death of her husband. She had 6 dogs and was unable to care for all 6 by herself. Pepper came in with his (2) sons, Gizmo and Handsome who are also available for adoption. Pepper is a very sweet boy. He is friendly and even tempered. He seems to just want attention. Pepper has lived outside for several years so he will need house training. We do not know how Pepper does with children, cats and other dogs yet. We believe he will do well with other pets and will do well with older children. He is an older boy so very young children may not be a great match for him. We believe Pepper would prefer an older, adult home that is quiet and where he could be the center of attention for his new family. His owner said she kept him up to date on Trifexis and he has already been neutered by his original owner. We will bring him current on his yearly vetting soon and can give more information about his overall health at that time. Pepper's adoption fee will be $100 to assist with vet costs and costs of daily care. If interested in adopting Pepper, please fill out our adoption application and submit an email with your interest. You may also call us at (352)493-1255 for more information about Pepper or to set up a day/time to meet him.
