Quesi (short for Quesidilla and pronounced Casey) is a 14 year old Chihuahua who came to us scared and traumatized, grieving the deaths of her elderly owners. She arrived with her older "sister", another chi, who has since passed away. After 6 months of high-quality fresh food and glucosamine supplements, Quesi now runs with the big (20lb) dogs in her foster home. Her right knee occasionally bothers her, but she doesn't let it stop her. Living for two years with elderly owners who couldn't take the dogs outside, Quesi is reliably paper-trained, but also goes outside with the other dogs several times a day. She can't do steps -- expects to be carried up and down -- and does not get on the furniture. She loves her dog beds and has one in each room. Quesi follows foster mom around the house and "helps" with the chores. She is especially adept at "washing" out all the dog bowls after meals.
