LUCY's Story...
URGENT FOSTER/ADOPTER NEEDED: Lucy has been unlucky in finding a forever home thus far in life, but we're hoping to change that once & for all! She recently found herself (and all of the other pets in their home) surrendered to the animal shelter through no fault of their own. Ideally she would love to stay with her friend Rain (see separate listing), but they will be ok apart as well.

Lucy weighs around 37 lbs and is about 3 years old & is potty trained. She, too, is used to living with other dogs, cats and children. She is very sweet but can be a little on the timid side when she first meets someone. She feels much safer when she has Rain around, but if you approach her in a gentle manner, she will be giving you kisses in no time!

Lucy is vaccinated, spayed, microchipped and on heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $125 or $200 for the pair.

Please email steffichaney@yahoo.de for info on fostering or for an Adoption Application to meet Lucy.

Once your application is approved, you are welcome to take the Lucy (and Rain) home for a sleepover to be sure this is the perfect match. A home visit is required, but we don't bite. :)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LUCY, a Clarksville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Clarksville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Clarksville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Clarksville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Clarksville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Clarksville paves the way for another one to be saved.
