Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Sophie. I am a small, 3 to 5 year old, black cocker girl looking for a forever home and someone to love me. I was found as a stray by animal control here in NC. I was badly matted and you could tell, I had recently had puppies. No one came to claim me, so the shelter staff contacted a volunteer who brought me to rescue.
I am healthy and heartworm negative. I am now spayed, I've been groomed, I've had a dental and my shots are up to date. The vet found that I do have some skin issues that need time to heal and get under control. This issue is being addressed with a better, regular diet to see if this helps. I am a sweet, very petite cocker girl. I can be a little fearful with stressful situations and I have shown signs of possibly being abused, before coming to rescue. I will do best in a home with children 10 years and older who can understand that If I get scared, I might snap. Please give me the 2nd chance that I deserve to have a loving home. Maybe I am the new best friend you have been looking for ..........I would love to meet you!
