Aug 2015-My foster mom is very good about keeping this site up to date, so if you see me I am available.
Hello, my name is Nana. I was given up by my original owner when for work purposes he found himself traveling more than he was at home. While he loved me, he felt it was better if he could find a home for me with someone that would love me as much as he did. In my former life, I was very pampered so as you can see, I love to be loved on. I was adopted to a wonderful man who became the apple of my eye however he fell ill and had to go into a nursing home. I am very unhappy because my world revolved around him. I now find myself back in rescue and have to relearn that I can not have my foster moms full time and attention. I would prefer to be in a home where I can be an only dog however if you have another dog that is laid back, it may work. However, I am a woman so I reserve the right not to like them too. LOL. Did I mention, that I am a lap dog. They tell me I am a blue Min Pin which is rare. I dont know I just know I love to snuggle with my people.  I would love to stay with my foster mom but she says she would love for me to find my own lap. Her lap is reserved for those dogs that need to be rescued from the shelters.
As you can see from my picture, my favorite thing is for you to put a soft blanket around me and you snuggle with me.;So as you can see, I have lots of great qualities. I bet now you want to know how to adopt me. Contact my foster Mom at 540 752 1741 if you have additional questions (7 days a week 10:00 AM -8:00 PM) or if you already know I am the perfect "friend for you" just go ahead and fill out an application at www.secondchance Hope to see you soon.Myadoption fee is $325.00. This fee covers the cost of;spaying, all the shots, heartworm test and microchip.

About Second Chance Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Second Chance Dog Rescue's mission is to give dogs that have found themselves homeless a second chance at finding a loving forever home. The founders take care of everything involved in the rescue of dogs including but not limited to: the initial intake of the dog, grooming, feeding, training, vet visits, home checks and all the administrative functions. Second Chance Dog Rescue prefers to take dogs that are at the local shelters and have a greater chance of being euthanized.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a shelter. These dogs stay in our home. We would be happy to make arrangements for you and your family to meet a dog. Please email us to make arrangements to view one of the dogs available for adoption.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption fees are as follows: $285.00 unless otherwise specified. This covers all shots and neuter/spay. All dogs are heartworm negative unless otherwise specified at the time of application. Please be aware that since we are a very small organization, we take pride in matching you with a lifetime companion. Most of the dogs have come to us very sick and scared so we make every effort to make your house, our rescues "last stop". Therefore, we would like the chance to get to know you and for your to get to know the companion you are considering adopting.
