Maverick's Story...
Hello, my name is Maverick!

I was found behind a local dealership (see if you can guess which one based on my name). I was really skinny and really scared. I've been at the vet for a couple of days to make sure I'm okay and I am smile emoticon I have gone from 2 pounds to 2.4 pounds...I was really hungry and dehydrated. Some really nice workers found me and took me in to a really nice lady in the dealership who has agreed to foster me while The Litter Box tries to find me a home.

I am a talker, I am a purrer, and I am a survivor. My vaccinations have been started. I'm not neutered yet but I'm heard the rumblings that that is going to happen shortly. If you would like to be my furever family please contact The Litter Box.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maverick, a Ogallala Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Ogallala, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Ogallala.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ogallala already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ogallala breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ogallala paves the way for another one to be saved.
