McCoy's Story...
I am a cute, curious, comical shepherd mix puppy. I am also soft and wrinkly and typical puppy! I play well with other dogs and I can't wait to have my own family. McCoy is living in a foster home learning house rules and the beginning of potty training. Mom is a shepherd mix, dad is an unknown breed. McCoy is such a lover and likes to cuddle best of all.

McCoy's adoption fee is $200; he is microchipped, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. Some of our pets are in foster care. If you are interested in a specific pet, please contact the shelter at 618-282-7387 to arrange a meeting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

McCoy, a Columbia German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Columbia, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Columbia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia paves the way for another one to be saved.
